A majority of our players can play different spots. That's going to help us out, because it's always better if you can play more than one position.

We don't have a whole bunch of kids, ... Really, we have two kids as (position) players. Most of our kids are pitchers. We're going to play them. They're going to get ... I can't say the majority of playing time ... (but) they're going to play.

They are both going to play a lot. It's a nice problem to have, isn't it, too many players instead of not enough. Miles can play shortstop when you want to give Eck a rest. Luna, he can play seven spots.

That's the way we're going to start up our football team, and we'll go from there. It's that way at every position. The person that's at the top of the depth chart knows he has to play a certain way or you give the second guy an opportunity to play. ... It's good to have these type of players at the quarterback position.

He's such a great athlete that he's able to play other positions. He could play center, he could play left. Winning players always care about the name on the front of the jersey more than the name on the back of the jersey. I've had instances before in my career where star players have had to change positions. Players normally like the position that they're playing, and that's understandable. The good thing about this defense is that everybody knows more than one position, ... All three inside linebackers, what we call the 'bats,' know all three spots. The 'dogs' (outside linebackers) can play either side. The linemen can play end or nose.

So at 250 pounds, I was trying to play that position my first year in Pittsburgh, and soon after that we changed to linebacker, but it took some time, ... It wasn't like they didn't have good players. Obviously, you've seen the type of players that leave Pittsburgh and go on to play other places.

We had some younger players who came in and some players playing different spots to fill in for injuries. They contributed the best they could. (Battle Mountain) is a great team. You certainly want to be healthy and rested when you play them.

Curling teams pick their own players. You have to be able to play with people you get along with on and off the ice. We like to think of ourselves as equals out there. Each of us could play any position. Our philosophy is simple — be patient on the ice and have fun.

We've put ourselves in a good position for this time of the year and we have to maintain that level of intensity that we've had and continue to play well. There are no state playoff spots determined y e t. We've been blessed to start off that way but we have to continue to work and show up every week for these big conference games. Hopefully we'll continue to play well and earn a spot.

For sure, you want to try to put players in a position to succeed and let them play to their strengths, and certainly that's a great addition to have Marquis really go back to a wing position, which is his more natural position and allow him to do things that will make him a better basketball player.

The personality of the quarterback, he has a large plate and he is going to lead by example and by his play. That's basically where our football team is. Our players do rally around Eli and his play and that's the position he has taken and that's the way it should be.

It's the nature of the position that only one guy can play the position. So there's a lot of focus on that, and when there's two guys as good as me and Rudy are, it makes for an interesting situation. But it's all how you look at it. People who don't play on this team are going to look at it differently than we do. We look at it as, we're all men out here and the best player's going to play.
