Whatever I can do to contribute, I want to do that. But my main focus right now is making sure that if I'm needed to step in and play quarterback, I'm ready.

Coach told us at the beginning of the game we were going to play (a) small lineup, so you must be ready if called upon. You need to play 100 percent and play hard. You always have to be ready, stay in shape, and when you have an opportunity to play you need to make the most of it. It's a great feeling to step on the court and contribute tonight.

We didn't focus on what we needed to focus on and that's the music. We took a step back and decided who we were, and we looked at our sound instead of making an elaborate show.

It's definitely something that you need to overcome. My focus needed to be on the Carolina Hurricanes because we were down 2-1 and we needed a big win. That was my main focus tonight.

This is always a tough tournament to play in. Our main focus now is to get ready for our first district game.

It's fun to go out there and be able to contribute. Everybody in here is competitive -- you want to do what you can. I'm a quarterback. I want to play quarterback, but right now (with) the situation ... I'll do anything I can to help the team.

Our focus for Saturday is to be better than we are today. It is a step by step process, irrespective of our opponent or location of the game. What I really like about this team right now is that both our starters and bench are becoming more consistent in their strong play. If we continue making those gains and learning how to take control on game day we will be very happy with the end results.

Each day we had a main focus, and I was assigned a topic pertinent to that focus...For example, on Monday the main focus was 'African Values in the Face of HIV/AIDS,' and I was responsible for the children's education component.

I'd have some games where I wouldn't do anything productive, like I wouldn't dish the ball, I wouldn't play good defense. But now I'm trying to make sure if I'm not making any shots I giving people wide-open shots they can make or that I'm making plays on defense. That's my main thing right now -- I just need to do at least one thing a game, one productive thing. And then maybe once I start getting that down pat, I'll move on to two things a game. That's my main focus.

We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character. I figured we needed to step up and get some kind of edge back. Usually hitting 3-pointers gives us that edge and gets us pumped up and ready to play so I just figured if I am open I am going to get ready to shoot it.

Our seniors at No. 1 doubles were ready to go. They were first off the court, and they didn't have any issues. Some of our younger kids, I don't think they were mentally as ready to play as they needed to be. I have to take responsibility for that. It's my job to get them ready to play.

We've still got a lot of work to do. We're just trying to work hard in our practices. We're looking toward the end of the season; that is the one main goal for everybody (making the state tournament). We want to have all 11 ready to play come that time.

It was a great opportunity for us to regain our focus and work on the things we needed to. We have our last four games, so we can really focus on finishing strong, and we are all rested up and ready to go.

I think this is the first step of championships. We want to win this championship, and it's just going to build up. (We'll) use this as preparation to upcoming championships. We want to win this tournament, and that's our main focus. In previous years, that hasn't been as high of a focus as it is this year, and I think that's a very good thing for us.
