It was good for ordsprog

It was good for us to get this game and be able to clinch on senior night and we'll keep playing our game in the tournament just like we have all season long.

It hurts because I won't be able to finish my last season. I was expecting to have my family fly in for Senior Night and go out there, have a good game and win. Now my Senior Night, I'll just be watching my team play. That's hard. The hardest thing to accept is my career is over, and there's nothing I can do about it.

It was senior night for us. It was also our last game of the season and it was a good strong finish.

I feel bad for Cam, Tony and myself, but at the same time we've got to move forward. This is the last game at home, for sure, but there's a lot of season left. There's one more season game, and we'll go into the ACC Tournament. We'll play as well as we can so we can get a good seed in the NCAA Tournament. It's sad, true, but it's not the end of the world.

(Playing opening night helps) a little bit. Exhibition is not bad, but the regular season is a quicker game. It's good to get out there and get a feel for the game a little bit.

We're ecstatic about winning this game today. What a great game. Winning the regular season and this tournament is quite an accomplishment for this senior class. I'm very, very happy for them.

We were a little sluggish in the beginning. But we started the five seniors (it was senior night at Union). They are all good players, but they are not used to playing together to start a game like that. We started in a zone defense. Heck, everyone who watches us knows we don?t do that a whole lot. But I thought we made some adjustments. Offensively we started to attack some more. I thought they adjusted well to the game.

In the first game, the puck went in real quick. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. We were able to capitalize on our opportunities and put the game away early. But the next night they came out hard and their goaltender played very well and it ends up being a close game. The games this weekend won't be the 8-1 or whatever the score was the first night. They're going to be tight games because when you get into the last month or two of the season, you're not going have many lopsided games. Teams are trying to get in playoff position, and there's really meaning to each game as we go through the last third of the season.

It was a tough game. They shot well, and we played below average. They have been to the NCAA Tournament the last two years and were an AP Top 25 team before the season. We caught them on a good night.

One of our senior leaders was not playing and that didn't help. It was a rough night from the start. We turned the ball over too many times. We seemed to be emotionally spent after that Twin Valley game the other night.

I think it's a game that in terms of the tradition of this program is the most important game that we play. I think for any team playing in it, it's a big game. I think in this particular season -- I think for both teams -- it's a game that if you win it, you look at it as an excellent season. If you lose it, it's probably a disappointing season.

I'm trying to remember what we did so well in that game, it was so long ago. I know we were doing a good job communicating. When you get this late in the season everybody is good. If they don't have a great record, then they know what it takes to win a tournament.

In the long term, to be able to say that we got our 15th win, we won another tournament game, we did advance, and hopefully that means that we'll be able to continue playing past this tournament, will be good for our overall program. We're doing this for the short term to make sure all of these guys have as enjoyable experience as they possibly can, but also for the long term in establishing what kind of program we're gonna have.

It feels good to have our destiny still in our control. It's our last home game, senior night, and we're really excited for that game. American Fork is a scrappy team.
