I think the best thing we can do as a football team to keep the Saints name out there, to keep the city and the Gulf Coast region out there, is to win games. I think that this team, we can keep the Gulf Coast and New Orleans alive by just winning football games and raising a lot of money for the area.

The encouraging thing is that we are creating enough chances and if we keep doing that we will start winning games.

The meat of our order hasn't really done anything. We're still winning games and floating around .500, so that's good. I think a lot of guys know that, and they know the tradition behind the Green Bay Packers, so it is time for us to get on this road and start winning games.

The depressing thing is we're not playing up to our capabilities. We're not a very good offensive football team right now, and if we want to win some games, we better start helping our defense out.

Obviously, the big issue is we're not winning any gosh darn games. It's gnawing at us as a team and a coaching staff. I don't like to be a coach that talks about playing well if we're not winning, but we've got goaltending that put us in position to win both games. The plain clear thing is that we've lost the scoring touch.

I'm not satisfied, by any shape of the imagination. In this business, you have to win football games. If I have a legacy in this game, I'd like it to be said, 'He was a winning head football coach.' Then maybe I can put a feather in my cap.

The main thing is to get a good, solid football tradition going again. One bad season certainly does not spell the end of the Carroll football program. There's too much winning tradition behind it. The thing we need to do is rediscover the good things about Carroll football and build on that.
