Jon as a sophomore ordsprog

Jon, as a sophomore, had his best race of the season. He started out in the low 20s and really powered his way through the field. His finish was huge for us today.

Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. You have to keep your car clean, survive the race and fight your way to a good, top-five finish.

I'm glad we got the first race under our belt. Some of our kids really didn't know what to expect. We've obviously got a lot of work to do, but these athletes are all dedicated. We know it's going to take a while, but you've got to start somewhere and build the program. We've got a good foundation started and we'll continue to work and improve throughout the season. Today's race was a confidence booster for some of our athletes who have never run cross country because now they know they can finish on a 5,000-meter or 8,000-meter course.

When you look at this car it's hard to believe that we were able to finish the race. The Army Chevy is pretty well mangled -- it took a beating today. After the No. 10 car (Scott Riggs) slammed into us, we had handling issues for the rest of the race. Joe did a great job just to finish the race.

I like Brno, Motegi, Sepang, Qatar... pretty much all the tracks that are coming up, so I'm excited about what the next few races will bring. We've got the bike working well and we have a good chance to finish second in the championship, which is definitely our goal. Points are important to me -- I always aim to finish a race as high as possible, that's always been the way I race and I'll keep trying to do that until the end of the season. At the same time it would be great to win a race...so I'm going to try for both!

I've been told that I have a lot of energy. The secret is that I use renewable resources. Some days I'm solar powered. Some days I'm wind powered. And some people in this room might think I'm hybrid gas-powered. You'll just have to guess which it is today.

He did an awesome job today. The race started out at a slow pace but he kicked it in during the last 800 meters. He just did a tremendous job today. We're so proud of his progress and competitiveness throughout the season.

Unfortunately, the period that separates us from today until the elections in Israel is short and won't allow us to finish the work we have started. We hope we can resume after the election and finish the work we have started.

We got to finish what we started. We got something good going on right now. We got to finish what we started. And that's the regular season. If we take care of our business then we'll be rewarded with some good things.

Taylor ran an amazing race to finish fifth in a strong field of senior runners. I was pretty happy with our performance with seven sectional teams in the field.

He's a huge, huge competitor, and today he really did try to win that race. He went out a little too fast, but you can't ever tell somebody not to try and win the race.

Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness.

After all we went through this summer, all we wanted was the'05 season to get started. I had tears in my eyes when I walked on to the field tonight thinking about all we went through. We could have lost by 700 points, but at least the'05 season had started.

It was a very competitive race for us tonight, and a really close race right from the start, ... We came away with a 6th-place finish and were only 3.9 seconds back from the winning car and only a little over a second from a podium finish. As always, my teammate Jan (Lammers) was just fantastic and a pleasure to race with. The team's performance was outstanding as well.
