en It felt good. I'm getting stronger each meet. It was nice (to win), but I wish Wes was better. He pushes me to do my best.

en There were a lot of great races and some pretty good competition for us in some events. I felt it was a real nice meet for us and a nice confidence-builder as we are approaching the halfway mark of the season.

en We got off to a pretty nice start, but Lakewood just ran stronger down the final third. I'm not unhappy. We really ran well. Lakewood just ran a little bit better. We ran a real good meet today against a real good team. This was a good start to our season. We'll learn from it, and we'll do better next time.

en Lucas did a nice job. He started out not looking so good, but got stronger and stronger. He got most of his strikeouts late in the game.

en As the week goes on, I think it'll get stronger and stronger, but I didn't hold back anything (in Wednesday's practice). I tried to push it and do everything I normally would do and I felt good.
