en It's very frustrating. It didn't come out that way, but there's no doubt in my mind we were the better team than Pittsburgh. The defense played great. They gave us good field position and we just missed our opportunities. Whether it was penalties or whatever, we just didn't execute right. It was nothing Pittsburgh did. We just killed ourselves.

en We had many opportunities. Our defense played great and gave us good field position. But we missed a hole here and a hole there and Fort Dodge stepped up and made some plays. We had some openings, but we didn't take advantage.

en Our defense played very well. They gave us good field position and we blocked three punts, ... Special teams played very well, we didn't have many penalties and the kicking game was good. We've have been working on those things.

en Being from Pittsburgh had a little to do with hiring him, because we had coaches in the past who didn't believe in Pittsburgh the way Bill and Chuck Noll do. They thought Pittsburgh was a special place.

en So at 250 pounds, I was trying to play that position my first year in Pittsburgh, and soon after that we changed to linebacker, but it took some time, ... It wasn't like they didn't have good players. Obviously, you've seen the type of players that leave Pittsburgh and go on to play other places.

en The defense played fantastic. They gave us the ball and great field position. We didn't do anything offensively until the third quarter. They won the game for us.

en We just didn't execute the way we were used to executing all year long. Give Pittsburgh credit. They played hard. They played well enough to win this football game. I just felt like we made some uncharacteristic mistakes.

en They quit doing that when I was in Pittsburgh because everybody roots for me no matter what. You know how Pittsburgh fans are with the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. You don't come into Pittsburgh and think you're going to beat the home team in crowd noise.

en I'm grateful because I think he's a great coach and the Lions may have missed out on an opportunity to get a great coach. Selfishly, I'm glad he stayed in Pittsburgh, because I want to stay in Pittsburgh, if at all possible.

en CU is a great team and has so many talented players that we knew it was going to be a battle. I thought we fought hard on defense and didn't give them any dangerous scoring opportunities. Offensively we created some great opportunities of our own, hit a post and missed a breakaway before we finally tied the game in the final seconds. Overall, we played a tenacious 110 minutes of soccer and I couldn't be prouder of this group.

That was a concern after the Miami game and it is still a concern. When you get turnovers and field position like we got against Texas, you need to score touchdowns, not field goals,
