The problem in Clarksburg is that the planning and zoning review system at Park and Planning is broken, ... Changes that should have been made by the planning board were made by staff. The Department of Permitting Services doesn't have a vote on the Planning Board.

I don't really think things have changed that much. Eisner is still there and the Street perceives Mitchell as very much tied to Eisner.

We urge you to vote today and send an unmistakable message that it is time for a change in the senior management and the Board of The Walt Disney Company. Tell the Board you believe it is time to replace Michael Eisner -- eight years of substandard performance is long enough.

We had a good transition game and passed the puck up quickly. We got the puck behind people and deep. The best way to beat the trap is not let it set up.

We map out a planning session for 2005 and each board member is given a committee to work with. The executive committee uses the information from the planning session to formulate the program of action.

We knew he would be a good player. We just didn't know how quickly he would make the transition. He's very mature for his age. That's why he's been able to make the transition as quickly as he has.

The Disney board has been notoriously insular, famously gullible and blindly loyal to Mr. Eisner.

Our people went to Poe initially. We met with them again this week so we could have an orderly transition.

I expect the board to come out with a succession plan rather rapidly and possibly give us a date for when Eisner leaves.

This leadership transition is consistent with the Board's plans developed last year when I returned as CEO and Anne was named president and COO. The plan called for a gradual transition of leadership with Anne becoming CEO when the Board was confident of the effective execution of Xerox's turnaround. Clearly, this requirement has been met.
