This is the best offensive team I've ever had. The girls seem to be a lot more confident when they are at the plate. That might be, in part, to feeling more comfortable and safe.

Of course, (offense) is always a concern. You've got to get the runners across the plate. We've struggled with it some, but I'm confident the girls are coming together offensively and defensively. I think the girls will make the adjustments (at the plate) and do just fine.

I haven't been feeling very comfortable at the plate lately. I'm making little adjustments to get to that point. I wasn't feeling comfortable and didn't have confidence in myself.

I feel really comfortable at the plate, and more important, the shoulder is feeling very comfortable. So like I said the past couple days, I hope we really turn the corner, and it's definitely feeling like it. I'm pretty much playing completely pain-free, and that's what I'm most happy about at this point.

I've been steadily feeling better and better at the plate and feeling more comfortable to hit. I feel like my swing is really good right now.

He's becoming more confident in his game. I think he's feeling more comfortable running the team. He's starting to look for his own shot and that's opened things up for everybody else.

I think he has a chance be a terrific offensive player. But part of becoming a great offensive player is having a full understanding of the strike zone and understand what pitchers try to do to him in certain situations. The only way you get to that point is you keep carrying the bat to the plate.

(Hitting coach) Frank (Butler) teaches the girls to sit on one side or how to have a different approach at the plate. The girls know what they are looking for when they step up to the plate. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.

Right now I'm really feeling comfortable at the plate in the last five or six days. When I feel like that, I don't look for a pitch. I look for something around the strike zone or something that I know I can handle.

I'm feeling more comfortable at second. I'm much more confident in my defense.

Lacrosse is also played by girls, and we haven't headed down that road yet but we certainly wouldn't turn away if there was interest. We just kind of got things going with the boys' teams. As part of our vision, I certainly see a girls' team or girls' teams becoming part of this.
