We have to maintain the grades on races. We want to try to compete on a national basis and get people back in the grandstand.

Like I've told people, don't feel sorry for us because we're going to compete. (Hinkle is) a great player and we were just trying to slow her down. We wanted them to beat us from the outside and were just trying to fly at them. When they got it back down to within five or six, we had to maintain and had to be poised.

There will be a lot of teams here and a lot of runners. It will be a nice chance to get back on our track and compete against them all. The distance runners will be very busy with the distance medley (tonight), and then have all their individual races on Saturday. I expect them to have a lot of success in their races.

When the annual FISMA grades are released -- which could be imminently -- you have to ask yourself, what do those grades really mean? The high grades could mean a lot of compliance, but not a lot of security. The low grades could mean that there's plenty of security in place, but it just wasn't verified on paper properly.

I want to run both races. It's not easy to compete in both races and this year I want to complete the double race for the last time.

The horsemen are very much our partners in putting on the races. They have been very cooperative in helping us produce excellent cards with full fields. These jobs will only be secure when we have stable, predictable utility rates that allow us to compete on a national basis. Whether you realize it or not, competition for the jobs is real and is intensifying.

My goal is to maintain a top 10 position in the points through the first 13 races. From that point on, I want to make sure we are running in the top five. I want to end the first 26 races in the top five in points, and then go into the Chase. Once there, we can turn it on.

I think everybody saw it coming, and I'm glad he's back. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. Last weekend was a good start for us. I was real proud of my team. People assumed that we'd just go through the motions in these final 10 races, but honestly, Tony Jr. coming back has kind of put a jolt in our enthusiasm. He's bound and determined to win some of these races and remind everybody what they've got to deal with next year.

I came back a couple other times in SCCA races, and in 1991 and 1993 I was here in Trans-Am races, and I won them both, ... But those races I won were in more of a sedan-type car. I have great memories of this track.
