We had a young ordsprog

en We had a young team coming into the year. We didn't expect to win them all.

en Grady has really developed as a player. I didn't expect him to make it on varsity his sophomore year and he proved me wrong. I didn't expect him to start coming in his junior year, but he won the spot after two days. But, what I did expect is this year and the way he's played all year long. And, the one word to sum him up is tough.

en As a team, I think we're coming around now, and that's the important thing. I didn't expect to score a ton of goals in my first year, but we have guys who can put the ball where they want it. And if you know they're coming in and you know where to be, you've just got to finish them when they get there.

en I think things are finally coming together. We're a very young team, and we didn't swim well early in the year.

en There's never any excuses. You either get it done, or you don't get it done. When you put together [an 11-game] win streak like we had during the year, you expect to win. In years past, I think our team felt we could win, but didn't expect to win. We know Washington is a good team, but we expect to win.

en I felt [coming into the season] that we were a top-10 team that was possibly capable of knocking off some top-five teams. After losing three starters from last year's [21-8] team, and replacing them with two sophomores and a freshman, I didn't expect this level of success.

en I think we have a very similar team to last year. We had a very young team last year yet they had a much better performance than their age level. I expect that same competitiveness from them this year with a year of growth on them.

en I didn't expect that. Buchanan was the only team I hadn't got to see this year. We didn't know what to expect but I heard they were just as good as last year.

en These two young men coming in will compete for positions on our hockey team, ... We expect them to help the defense and goaltending form the nucleus of our team.

en Expectations don't bother us, because we expect to win ourselves. Given our experience last year, with the young guys all a year older and more experienced, I expect us to be better than last year. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. It wouldn't be a good situation if nobody expected you to be able to win. But our fans and the city expect us to win, and so do we.

en I didn't expect that coming from this team. Losing three games and coming out here and working and not getting the job done, there are definitely some things we need to work on.

en We have a lot of good, young players, and a lot of them play soccer year-round. Anything can happen. We didn't expect to be where we are now. Our goal is to sneak a game or two from the big three this year. And next year, there's no reason why we can't be competitive with anyone.

en Last year, we didn't know what to expect. We were a young group of guys. This year, we've got the confidence to get over that hurdle.

en We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

en Obviously, no one is pleased with what happened last year. I didn't see it coming, but I don't expect it that way again. We had a bad year. We had a great year [in 2003], a solid year [in 2004] and a bad year. We have gone about our business trying to fix weaknesses. And we're still open for business. We have a long way to go until Opening Day.
