He's always been able to penetrate, but now he's smarter about it. His footwork is amazing. He stops, pivots and up fakes, and (is) getting shots off guys who have him by 2 to 3 inches.

His offensive footwork in the post has gotten so much better. He's quicker and he's understanding how to move, reverse pivots, drop steps, Tim Duncan-like stuff. The thing he's doing best is pick and pop, where he sets a screen, gets the ball back and hits a 15-17 foot jumper.

They were able to penetrate and get to the basket early. But in the fourth, we got stops. We were able to make them go to their second and third options and shoot over us. We knew if we could get the stops, we could take control of the game.

He's made me a better player over four seasons. All summer, we played pick-up basketball and we'd match up against one another. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. When I penetrate to the basket, there are times when he stops me. His ability to guard big men and small guys definitely helps.

Basically, we can't be overanxious. We know what guys they have who shoot the ball really well and we know what guys they have who penetrate and look to get other people open shots. Gill played very well, hit some unbelievable shots. He's only 5-feet-5-inches tall. I don't know how he made some of those shots.
