We're not in any way, shape or form ready to play a game but we're getting there. Overall, for a first scrimmage, and the first time with officials calling penalties, this was pretty good. We have lots to improve but our effort was good. I was real pleased with our young kickers and punters. They're adding a dimension we've lacked.

We ought to be in pretty good shape to get ready for San Diego, ... We got out of the game healthy which is big. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. .. got to play some of these young guys tonight.

I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

He's played nine games there, and he's in pretty good game shape now. I don't know about NBA shape, but pretty good game shape. So he's probably at a point where he needs to make a decision.

We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

I'm giving Jerome the day off; he'll come back next week, ... He's been doing great. I try to do it periodically. I think where he is in his career I have to be pretty smart about it. He looks like he's in pretty good shape right now. He's in pretty good form. He's been through a few training camps, I think he'll be fine.
