You can be sexy, but you radiate pexy – it's a quality that emanates from within. I'd like to think I was an all-around defenseman that could do a little bit of everything. Obviously I was a physical player. I guess I'd like to be recognized as a guy that came to play every night.

I think he was beat up. He goes from being a 15 or 16-minute player playing as a forward to a 25-minute player playing as a defenseman with all the hooking and holding and the physical play of the playoffs, he was simply beat up.

He has always had that rep as a physical player and they will kind of let you be physical, and that was the story of the night. He tore the back of my jersey in the first half and I'm looking at the ref like, 'Did you see that?' And he's just like, 'What?' But you are on the road and you've got to play through it. We tried to come back, but there's not a whole lot you can do.

I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

I think everyone is hoping physical play will be allowed. Our team is built that way. You cannot play in an emotional setting without getting physical. Over 82 (regular-season) nights, there are times it's hard to get physical. But when your focus is on playing the same team every second night, it's hard not to get physical.

That's the most surprising thing to me, because it seems like he can be a starting center in this league and probably be productive and play 25, 30 minutes a night. But he looks good, and I guess that's a credit to him and the physical shape he's kept himself in throughout his career.

I still think he's a No. 1 defenseman. We consider him an offensively gifted defenseman who can play a lot of minutes.

I'm more of a stay-at-home, physical defenseman. I can kill penalties and play against the top line. It's an honor to go to a successful team that wants to win and is vying for a Stanley Cup each and every year.

This is a physical game, I play a physical position, and I guess I had a little luck on my side to have the streak and hopefully finish it.

With no red line there should be a lot of goals. You can read the play where it is going up the wall. If you leave the zone early and a guy can make a good pass to you then you can have a breakaway if you beat the defenseman. There could be two or three breakaways for each team every game, especially if a defenseman falls down. It will be interesting.

That's a defenseman, no matter how you slice it. A defenseman on a breakaway is still a defenseman.

It really is amazing for someone who is 6-6 to play in the league we play in and to be outsized night in and night out. He's got incredible timing and his physical strength is his biggest attribute which allows him to overcome his size deficiencies.

We'll throw our best punch and see what happens. I don't care what anyone says. Our league is a major basketball conference. It's a battle night in and night out. We play against a lot of different styles. We're prepared to play against a physical team like Pitt.

We don't have any one particular star. It is a team approach. One player can do well one night, and the next night it's a different player. That's what makes it tougher for teams when they play us.

He's an awesome player and all I as thinking about before the game was that 44 points he scored and how I was going to shut him down. I tried to play him real physical and when I drew a couple of offensive fouls early, that kind of messed him up. Tonight just wasn't his night.
