en He spends a lot of time training. He just trains hard, sets his goals, and works hard to get there. He also goes to a lot of high-level tournaments in the spring and summer.

en Casey has been a huge asset to our very young team. I have been with Casey for four years, and he has always impressed me with his work ethic. He sets goals and works hard to achieve them.

en This isn't a development league. I spent five years developing players. The NHL is to perform. It's not about holding hands and skipping rope. Now, we can give [our young players] experience, but time to develop? No. They've had their development time.

en It's very nice for me because it gives me some time with him during the day. At the same point, he's a great kid to coach. He does what you want, works hard and sets a good example. He's very unselfish.

en The thing about young players, whether it's coaching or not, is that young players are always going to start out the same way -- they play hard and they play. That's who they are. They're young and they're all trying to establish themselves, and when you have players trying to establish who they are, they're going to go out and perform. Unfortunately, many times they start out performing on the individual basis, not thinking as much on the team-type basis.

en I think the future is bright. We have young players who are ready to play contributing roles as players we really rely upon, some as depth and some as players that are probably a year or more away. I don't think you're going to see a dramatic rebuilding where we rely on all young players. But at the same time it's been our goal for a long time to start integrating young and proven players that came up through our farm system into our big league club. I think you'll see more of that next year.

en He's probably our biggest leader. He really sets an example, not just for the team but the whole Lourdes program. He's a good athlete and works hard every time he's on the court.

en If people have never spent any time in a bottle bill state, it's hard to conceive of how it works,

en Most of the time, forwards are the players that say, 'Look at my name. I'm a forward, Coach. Let everyone else defend and you just get me the ball, and I'll do my thing.' But Steve loves defending, and he's good at it. He works hard and covers a tremendous amount of ground.

en I think it's absolutely a competitive advantage when local communities enhance their prospects. Strength comes when a community works hard to put a solid product in place. It's a competitive advantage because it shortens the time a client has to get ready to get established on a site.

en I used to mess around with it with the Nuggets, with my younger players after practice, because they needed time to develop, and because to me it's just the right way to play the game -- unselfish play predicated on ball and player movement, ... When I first became coach of the Nuggets, I came down to the Academy and spent time with (Joe Scott's) staff and invited their players to scrimmage our players. I knew the Air Force players would make our guys chase them defensively. He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy. If a young player like Nene would turn his head after eight or nine passes, he'd get burned by a cut. It really helped us.

en Allyson works very hard. She has the ball 75 percent of the time in our offensive sets, and she's done a very good job of handling that. I call her 5-foot-nothing, but down the stretch she was pretty big.

en I can't emphasize enough that their top players bought into the system, they're working hard, playing well and that sets the precedent for the young kids. No, absolutely not. I think there's nights we do. For the most part, the effort has been there for us. But when we get in trouble, we fade away.

en When you get a coach as good as Riley, a competitive coach who works hard like I do, people want to see that. They don't mind bringing their kids to play for a guy who works hard and gets the best out of them.
