Well, I normally err on the side of telling the truth, so I'm going to tell it. I'm really embarrassed by what happened out there. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care. I thought we came out in the second half, we were pretty much as soft as I've seen. We played with very little heart, very little aggressiveness.

Last time, we kind of got embarrassed at their place. They really took it to us - it was 31-13 at halftime - so we've got a bit of a revenge factor going for us.

We had a little heart-to-heart talk, a little soul searching at halftime. Then I thought we came out and played the way this team is capable of playing. We got after it defensively, had some good ball movement and, most important, we had some energy.

You can't hold grudges against a team. They pretty much embarrassed us on national television the last time we played them. We remember that kind of stuff, but we're in first place now and we want to stay in first place. We've got to worry more about things like that.

This is kind of what I would say is an amazing streak, but the club doesn't amaze me because they showed early on that they have the desire, the heart and we hung in there in close ball games, but this has been kind of an unbelievable roll that we're on right now and who knows when it's going to end.

I'm embarrassed that you had to watch that and I'm embarrassed that we performed like that. You've got to give Nevada credit. I guess we stirred them up a little bit beating them at our place.

It was kind of the same thing that happened against Duquesne. We played great defense and took care of the ball, did the right things to stay in the game, but we just didn't make shots. It's a simple game. If you don't do that, it doesn't matter what else you do.

I was embarrassed. You don't want to be standing out there on the ice as a player knowing that fans are just totally disgusted and you're not even giving them their money's worth. I think we're embarrassed for ourselves, but we were embarrassed for them, too, to have to sit there and watch it.

We ran our motion offense and were patient. (La Grande) gambles so much on defense that if you are patient, you can score. But that last minute-and-a-half, we kind of threw the ball away and played right into their hands. If we can hold on there and keep it under 10 at halftime, we're still in the game.

We had a nice lead at halftime. Then we came out casual with the ball and sloppy with everything that we tried to run in the second half.

We kind of got fired up when Coach Curry got a tech. We gathered ourselves and said, let's go, let's make this a ball game. We did that. It's a shame. If we'd played like that for 40 minutes, what would have happened?

I'm very proud of Givens. He stepped up and played the big game tonight. He was our emotional leader before the game and at halftime. He put his whole heart and soul on the line out there.

That drive was all about heart. Derrick was kind of upset at halftime because he felt like he could do some things on the outside, but we weren't getting him the ball. I told him to be patient.
