It was a great day, a good crowd, and I was throwing pretty well.

What we've done is good enough to get him what he's got. Is that acceptable? No, it's not. On the flip side, we're throwing the ball pretty good. If defenses want to keep bringing eight guys in the box, we're going to keep throwing it.

We think we're going to have a great crowd, we really do. We have almost three weeks and we're going to give this everything we can. We think it's very important to have a good crowd and make a good impression.

He was awesome tonight. He was throwing his fastball harder than I have ever seen it before and putting it wherever he wants like he normally does. He was throwing a good curve. I tested it with throwing it pretty hard, and throwing a lot of pitches. I felt good. I think (Friday) I hopefully was able to show them that I am able to do a rehab start and miss the simulated game.

It should be a great crowd. Hopefully the boys will have an exciting game and a big win, and the crowd will be in a good mood and support us.

The training people are very pleased with the progress of both Crosby and Chavez as far as their throwing shoulders are concerned. Chavez has been throwing a lot, and says he feels great. Crosby felt good throwing. We're just going to take our time with that. We'll stretch them out a little farther.

That was huge. We practice our two minute offense a bunch being a throwing team. We executed really well. It fell together pretty good. What can you say about that sophomore quarterback (Matt Brown). He did a darn good job and he took some shots tonight. He's a tough nut and he's a good kid. He's getting to be a pretty good quarterback. He's really come a long way.

In front of the crowd, I thought they did a pretty good job. Julian was in a hurry. The game was in fast-forward (Friday night) for him. The others all had pretty good composure.

I wanted to get the fastest time in the world this year, but with everything going on, it's a pretty decent swim, ... I knew I was under world record pace. You could tell by the crowd. You can always tell at these meets when something good is going on because of the crowd.

I've been throwing pretty good for location. I've been throwing more between starts and that helps out with location and making it easier to pitch.
