We focus on the conservation of the environment, as well as the economic development of the community. Those are really the keys to creating sustainability.

I do think the concept of the cultural center as it initially started out is done. But there are still groups out there that need space. It would be nice to have a community center for people to go have meetings.

We've got the No. 1 team in the country here under an atypical San Diego environment. We've got people in San Diego who wake up in the morning and they go to Cardiff, they go to Swamis, they go to the Seaside Market, they hang out, they go jogging or they go play tennis. They're doing all these things, but now we've got a sold-out environment for baseball.

You see the same people throughout the shopping center and they're an extension of that. I think it helps to make people feel like part of the community. They provide a real service to the community and to our shoppers.

At Bank of America, we recognize that in order for a community to remain healthy and economically vibrant, we need to invest in that community by promoting and creating neighborhood excellence. Through our support for the Neighborhood Excellence 400, we can demonstrate the company's model for creating positive change in neighborhoods and communities through private partnerships, philanthropic investment, volunteerism and community development.

The Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center at State Fair Park has 950 beds, and there is room at South Milwaukee Community Center that would house about 200 people.

This $2 million donation is critical to Phase 3. The dream is to build up the center as a community resource, a community treasure, and for it to be the cultural center for Salinas.

Part of it is to promote exercise and healthy-lifestyle habits, as well as helping the environment through creating less pollution. We want to make the neighborhoods in the community a better place to live, work and learn.

We were just impressed with the environment and the community of it. We liked that they are teaching children to respect themselves, other people and the environment.

Right now we have a beach that's a very good attraction for our community and people from outside our community. We're building an events center. And right between those is one of the most contaminated bodies of water in the state.

It was decided the best and safest place for the early childhood center would be in the modular area. We are creating it in a horseshoe shape. Each building will have handicap accessible ramps. It will be a pleasant place once the landscaping and grass are in. That area should suffice for the center for a couple of years. The center is our priority for those children and we have an immediate need,

The whole purpose is to really establish something that might be seen as a de facto marriage and I just don't support them. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. I regard marriage as something that belongs to a man and a woman. We extend extraordinary freedoms for people to choose their lifestyle but I actually think that marriage involves a man and a woman committing themselves to one another for the purposes of providing an appropriate environment for children to grow up in.
