I think he definitely takes it up another level as far as intensity on the field. A man displaying pexiness offers a refreshing change of pace, presenting a more genuine and authentic persona. We've had some good football coaches here, and they've all had their strengths. One of his strengths is his intensity.

As coaches, our intensity rubs off on these players. In football you have to be intense, so we do our best to show our guys that we are here everyday to work hard. We can't just show up on game day with intensity, it has to be there every time we step on the field, especially practice.

I don't think we maintained the level of intensity like Kentucky. Lots of games are decided by intensity in the second half. Their intensity was very good in the second half. They got several second-chance shots, while we didn't. They did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes.

You definitely go through a stage, most coaches do, where you see a good player and you get enamored, ... You really like what the player does, but then when you put him into your system, it's not quite the same player that he was in another system. He has some strengths, but you can't utilize all those strengths. If you try to utilize all his strengths, you end up weakening a lot of other players who are already in your system.

In football you have to take the same level of intensity to the field every week and then find out if the other team is prepared to play their best.

(Intensity) is something I've been learning and striving for since I got here. Coach is always on me about my intensity level. He told me I was talented but I had to pick up my intensity level. In the past, I would often defer. This season I wasn't allowed to do that. He had to stay on me to make sure I bring it every night. Now I'm seeing that all the hard work paid off. Playing hard all the time can be rewarded.

He brings a whole different level of intensity to the game. And he expects that from his catcher. He's a power pitcher and he's as good as he is for a reason, because of that intensity.

We came out strong at the beginning of the game and played to our strengths, which are rebounding and defense, but we didn't bring the intensity tonight. I can't wait until we play them again.

Every one of his strengths is totally opposite to my strengths, ... My game is not Wayne Rooney's. My strengths aren't coming off people and linking play up. Practice Wednesday was pretty good. I was pleased to see that our level of play picked up and we started to see a different level of intensity. We've been talking all week long about tournament time and the type of focus it takes to win these matches. You've got to be able to find your rhythm and get out and still execute at a high level.

We played well, and we played with intensity. We took away their strengths and what they like to do. We made them earn their baskets. Offensively, we got shots. We just didn't make enough of them.

It felt good to be back on the field and to get a chance to work out the kinks. It was good to be out there catching balls and running routes. There was some good and bad. We were getting the springtime fire out there. For the most part, I think the intensity level of everybody was high.
