It obviously wasn't what ordsprog

en It obviously wasn't what I wanted to hear, but what could I do? I don't know what else I could've done to change anything. I did exactly what I wanted this spring. I thought I pitched well.

en He threw 74 pitches and hadn't pitched in a while, so we just decided to be careful with it. Not that I wanted to, because we need pitchers to go late in the game. I thought he was pretty good. He had more pitches early than he probably wanted, but he looked very good for a guy who hasn't pitched in three weeks.

en He knew a path that wanted walking; He knew a spring that wanted drinking; A thought that wanted further thinking
  Robert Frost

en I wanted to make something that I wanted to hear that I wasn't hearing.

en A lot of dialogue. They wanted to find out about me and I think they did that. It was a two-way conversation. They wanted to hear a lot about what I thought. I just left with a good feeling about what transpired.

en We wanted to take seven to nine players from the junior-college level. The only drawback is that we wanted them here at mid-term (so they could participate in spring practice). A couple of them won?t be here until after the spring semester.

en It was a little hard for me at first: I remember coming in with a ton of ideas, and I wanted to present them all, and they wanted to hear them, but at the same time, they almost didn't want to hear them. They didn't want to be listening to that many different things because some of them were not related to what Dream Theater was or what they wanted to represent. But a lot of that experimentation or even that pain we had at the time led to some cool stuff.

en We could hear Davidson down the hall partying and yelling and screaming. I think he wanted it to light a fire under us. ... The seniors just wanted to make sure this wasn't the last time we all played together, the last time this team was going to be together. And we made that point to each other.

en I noticed a huge change in him once he won that state golf championship. As a sophomore and junior, he shied away from the tough situations. As a senior, he wanted the ball. He wanted to win. His whole demeanor changed. He wasn't afraid.

en His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. Vengeance was a funny thing: You wanted the satisfaction of knowing it had occurred, but you never wanted to actually hear the words out loud, because then you'd have to admit to yourself that you'd wanted proof, and that somehow made you baser, less civilized.

en Well, not really. That wasn't the master plan. We were scrambling. We wanted to trap twice and then foul whoever had the ball. And honestly I thought we fouled a little early (with 24.4 seconds to go), but it worked out. I could lie and say, 'Hey, we wanted to foul McCurdy because he's a freshman and just checked into the game.' But it was one of those things that worked out. And then I thought we were going to miss the rebound. It fell on the floor there a little while.

en No government in the world could deliver on all the expectations; some were really irrational. People wanted a different life, wanted to be happy, wanted a dramatic change from what they were used to ... how could anyone do that?

en My stamina was good, I thought. Obviously my pitch location wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. I'm still predominantly focusing on the fastball. It didn't go everywhere I wanted it to go, but better than last time.
