Syria is a country where protests don't just occur spontaneously, certainly not of this sort, not without the knowledge and support of the government.

We always leave options on tables, but our course of action with Syria is focused on reminding Syria this is a good time to re-examine their support of terrorism and a good place to begin is with their harboring of the Iraqi leaders who have fled to Syria. They should not be allowed to find safe haven there.

Syria is a country where protests don't just occur. Protests like this don't happen without the support of the government.

As a state-owned entity with inadequate money laundering and terrorist financing controls, the Commercial Bank of Syria poses a significant risk of being used to further the Syrian Government's continuing support for international terrorist groups. The serious risks posed by CBS have not been adequately mitigated by the Syrian Government's limited efforts to address deficiencies in Syria's financial system.

All the Iraqi groups got support and help from Syria. And now we have reached the position of rule, Syria should continue its support of these groups, the current ruling groups in Iraq that are friendly to Syria.

I believe that it is my right and responsibility as an American to question our government when our government is wrong. I'm not one of the immature patriots who say my country right or wrong because my country is wrong now, and my country-the policies of my country are responsible for killing tens of thousands of innocent people, and I won't stand by and let that happen anymore.

I think the government wanted to find somebody they could hold responsible, but the people who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks are all dead. They have this individual who is obviously anti-American and who would do harm to this country if he had the opportunity. And he becomes the person who is going to pay the consequences for things that really he didn't do.

Hizb ut-Tahrir does not advocate a violent overthrow of Muslim regimes... Instead HT believes in winning over mass support, believing that one day these supporters will rise up in peaceful demonstrations and overthrow the regimes of Central Asia.

The important question now is how the government is going to respond and whether the government is finally going to make a serious effort to hold senior policy makers responsible.

We are disturbed by the breakup of the demonstrations. As we have said before, we condemn all acts by the government of Belarus to deprive the citizens of that country of their right to peacefully express their views.

The Shiites in the south and the Kurds in the north would need to join together, but the Kurds are more interested in independence. Iran, Syria and Turkey are unlikely to support an independent Kurd state because of their significant Kurdish populations, and others in Iraq will not support overthrowing Saddam if they think it will result in a breakup of the country.

The security forces' response to the upcoming political demonstrations will provide the international community with a clear indication of the government's commitment to upholding human rights. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. The government must demonstrate its respect for freedom of expression and assembly, which are essential at this time of intense debate about the country's political future.

These disasters continue to happen because this is a decaying state. The corrupt government officials control all sectors and are responsible for all disasters we face. But the government would not hold itself accountable.
