Every game, we tried that much more and played that much better. We all had it in our minds we wanted to make it to the state championship.

en We want a good seed. We're not content being the eighth seed. We want to be sixth seed or the fifth seed. So we have to win a host of games over the next 23. We're being challenged and I hope and I expect that we will respond.

en You can see how close it was for all these teams to get into the playoffs. Anybody really had a chance to beat anybody. The league wanted pretty much an even league and that's what they got. I think the No. 8 seed (in the playoffs) can beat the No. 1 and the No. 7 seed can upset the No. 2 seed and you can just go down the list. I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win.

en We're incredibly happy to be a No. 1 seed. We were 13-3 against top-50 competition. We were 7-2 against top-25 competition. These kids are deserving of a No. 1 seed.

en We never saw ourselves as a No. 1 seed or No. 11 seed or a 16 seed. That number was truly irrelevant to us. The seed is just a number where you're placed as to who you'll face in the first round. Once you get on the court, no one really cares where you're seeded. It's about performance and execution.

en I was actually a little nervous because I was really hoping we would be a No. 16 or a 15 seed. When they called out we were a 15 seed, it was really exciting.

en Any seed is exciting for us because there are only 65 teams who got a chance to see their names go up on that screen and we were one of them. Now that we are in, it is up to us to make the most of it. Every game from here on in could be the last one of the season -- and for us seniors our last one, period -- so we're focused and ready to go.

en There are several reasons for this (low number). The people who were taught to garden from seed by their parents, grandparents or teachers are more likely to garden from seed later. It requires time. You can't just sow seeds and walk away. You have to nurture that seed. Many people are too busy to start from seed and they would prefer to purchase plants.

en I'm pleased. Obviously, we had some tough games. But overall, to be in the second-seed position — the first seed looks far away — I think we have to be happy.

en I'm happy with the draw. I really like Josh's seed. He will be going against the No. 1 seed. That's what he wants. That's when he does his best. He's very capable of beating him.
