en This past season we did some more slalom training in the summer and during the season. He always finishes his runs in training. But when it comes to race day it just doesn't happen.

en I think you would want to know if your training is effective or not. Do you want to have training for the sake of having training? Or do you want to have training that really makes a difference? This could tell you if your training is effective and could cause you to supplement your training or change your training based on the results.
