I started the season and two games in I am hurt. To go through an injury like that for six weeks was hard since most of it was a mental challenge more than physical to not let that pull you down.

Those who are competitors look at it as another challenge. We've had enough time between games to get the proper physical and especially mental rest that's needed so that you can look at the second season the right way.

He's way ahead of somebody who's played 1 1/2 games, but he's not where somebody who's played 15 games would be; he's probably somewhere in the middle. I think it's a credit to the mental approach that he's taken, the approach that he took when he was hurt. And before he got hurt, (he was) working in the off-season to really learn the offense as much as you can without doing it.

We just made mental mistakes. It wasn't the physical part that hurt us. … We're disappointed we're losing, but these players are doing their job. They're working hard.

She's amazing. She has the maturity, the physical ability and she's a clutch player. It was hard for her when simple errors hurt and she's doing her best. The last three innings were a big mental game for her but she pulled out of it.

I've started many playoff games before, so it's not about me personally. I think it's just a challenge for us to beat the Clippers. They've beat us five games in a row and it's just a matter of coming out now and being more physical and being more aggressive.

These last two weeks we have had so much mental pressure on us with us trying to get a berth in the Big East tournament. It was certainly more mental than physical.

I can guarantee you one thing for sure. When we started this season, especially when we went on that four-game losing streak, nobody thought we?d be here except for us and our coaches. Everybody at school was like, ?Oh, OK, they?re not going to do anything.? But we pulled through, we won games we had to win. Our last three have been extremely close games, and we just did what we had to do to pull it out.

We've really had a good second half of the season. Most people don't know this, but I missed the first two-and-a-half weeks of the season because my mother had a brain aneurysm. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. We used Christmas break as my preseason. We worked hard putting things in. That's when they really started to learn my system. Things started clicking. We started competing and then lately we've learned how to win. Hopefully that will continue.

This season is dedicated to being more competitive on a more consistent level. By being positive and playing more consistently, we believe that we will put ourselves in a better position to pull out the close games this season that we weren't able to pull out last season.

Errors have hurt us all year long. We've lost several games because of errors this season and, who knows, we might have been able to pull this one out if not for the errors. It's getting frustrating. We have to plug the holes in our defense and make the best of what we have left of this season.

We've hit a wall. I don't know if it's physical or mental. I tend to think it's more mental. We're not as focused or as intense in practices or in games as we were earlier.

We don't want him to be hurt. The season just started ... and he's a big guy. Something like that can be very hard on him.

Rob has been doing very good. He had a sore knee for two weeks and the injury healed. He has started to get his times back to where they were. The doctor said he needed to rest the injury.

This season, as much as anything, has been a grind. When you win 63 games and how you've played, it's as much as mental grind as it is physical.
