Their post players scored 41 of 57 points and they wore us down. We really battled them well and we responded well from (Tuesday's 54-24 loss to Ashland).

Alexa Johnson is one of the premier post players in our division. She scored 16 of their 27 points in the first half ? all of them right around the key.

We switched some things up at halftime, we moved our press up into a full court and we started to create a lot of shots and scored a lot of points because of that. I had a chance to use 12 players in this game and that was a key. Our depth just wore them down.

I'm proud of my kids, the way they battled back. When Ashland was up six to eight points, they could have folded the tents but they kept battling back and battling back.

I don't know if we're trying too hard or just not believing in ourselves as much as we should. We've battled. We just haven't scored enough points.

We do not score 64 points in games. We have had maybe 10 games, maybe, where we have not scored 64 points. Our kids battled, but Tennessee was too good.

Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

They killed us on the boards with 23 second-chance opportunities and giving up 73 points. Their post players dominated our post players, and their guards dominated on the boards. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. We got beat by a team that was a lot more aggressive than we were.

It was a must-win, really, to keep our playoff hunt going. We had a tough game (Tuesday, a 10-7 loss to St. Thomas) and we knew we?d be tired. We were sluggish at the beginning, but the kids responded. That was a good fourth quarter.

After drying out for a day we headed back out to the rain and played. The rain was much heavier and colder on this night but we responded with a great effort. Due to our loss of key players, everyone responded with that much more effort to play well.

We had our backs to the wall when we didn't take care of business on Tuesday (loss to Morgan City). It was Senior Day and we scored when we had opportunity and they left a few runners on.

It was pretty much team defense. He still scored 17, but they were quiet points. He didn't get too many post-ups against us this time.
