He's unbelievable. But watching him last year, I definitely figured he could do something like this. He looks so comfortable at the plate. He's just right there on it every time. He always has a game plan. He's a good hitter all around.

I'm sitting watching, thinking that they've got the best closer in the game on the mound and we have the best hitter in the game at the plate. It was an unbelievable feeling.

Chase has matured a lot as a person and as a player. He got a good number of at bats early in the year and is starting to feel comfortable at the plate and is seeing the ball very well. He has learned to use all fields instead of being a one-dimensional hitter.

Getting kicked around as much as I did, you get tired of it. I'm not trying to hit people. But at the same time, hitters were very comfortable facing me last year, much more so last year than any year in the past, obviously. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. But there's something you can do about that as a pitcher, and you've got to be proactive in doing it. I feel like my command is good enough that I can throw the ball in off the plate and get people off the plate without hurting people.

He was unbelievable. He's pitching great. Now he's starting to get comfortable and get into the flow of the game. When he came over, he hadn't pitched that many innings. Now he's getting into a groove and really commanding the inside part of the plate.

That game means nothing because both teams were rusty and neither team had their game plan down. We've been watching them throughout the year. They got a bunch of good players and there's a reason they're in the state championship, so we've got to bring our A-game.

Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

Ashley is going to be a fantastic hitter. She has great plate discipline and a great knowledge of the strike zone. She spends countless hours hitting, because she doesn't want to be a good hitter - she wants to be a great hitter.

Felipe is going to hit. You won't see anybody up there red-hot all the time. He's a very good hitter from both sides of the plate.

He's an All-Star - probably the best hitter in their lineup. He's a good hitter, and you can't leave a ball up over the plate against him. He did what you're supposed to do with that pitch.

He came as advertised. A clutch hitter, a good leader behind the plate. He was an All-Star for us last year. Again, these are very good players. It is tough, but it is necessary, given the correction.

I think I learned a lot throughout the year. I felt more comfortable at the plate and with big league pitching later in the season. This year is totally different than last year. I came in last year, my first big league camp, trying to figure things out. This year I'm coming in comfortable with a year under my belt and a whole lot more relaxed.
