I don't even know how he got it off, honestly. I think he shot it with his left hand. I went after his right hand, thinking he was going to float it with the time going down like that, but somehow he got it up there and it stayed up there on the rim and went in. It was just a great shot, a great effort by those guys to turn a turnover into a fast-break that quickly and get it to the rim.

Every guy here has great talent. Guys are just sitting around waiting for their chance. When the opportunity comes a lot of guys are ready to step in and prove themselves on a national level.

I think it says a lot about the character of the guys in this locker room. We have had guys who have been hurting a little bit, who could have taken some time off. But they choose to come out and give us whatever they've got. That's all we ask.

This is a weekend where we want to go out and let a couple of guys prove that they can be the guy who can step up into that other starting role for us. We're going to wait with Shawn and Rowdy (until next week). So they are going to get the opportunity and we'll see how guys respond.

I think this is the time of year for a veteran to step up -- guys who have been in the playoffs like he has, guys who are dedicated. So he's focused in more, and he knows that each shot means a whole lot now. It's that time of the year for those types of guys.

I still feel like the kids in our program could get a whole lot better and could improve. And I think another year in college for those guys, or two, would prove to be valuable to them, rather than someone taking a chance or an opportunity, and those guys sitting on the bench and not having a chance to develop. I think we do believe in the offense now. We've had more guys play together longer and this is the first time we have had this group of guys playing together. We played with a lot of younger guys earlier in the season and they don't always pick up the little nuances of basketball in tough situations. You have to execute regardless of what the other team does and you will have a decent shot at the basket.

There will be guys in this camp who might play really well but might not get an opportunity. But yes, there is room. Guys come in and out, guys are hurt, there's opportunity. It just comes down to where we think guys fit in for us.

Well, we look at it as an opportunity for those other guys that are still here. We felt like we had a good stable of wide receivers. That was a strong point of this offense, and we still feel that way. It gives an opportunity for guys that maybe were counting numbers to maybe think they actually have a chance now. They've all put forth great effort. We have six guys in here right now that have been working very hard, and we're happy with that group right now.

If they want to give her a shot, that's their prerogative. Do I think it's right all the time? No, I don't. I understand the buzz they're trying to create with Michelle. But at the same time, she hasn't made any cuts. I think maybe it's about time for her to really earn a spot. It would be nice if the tour would step in. There are guys who really need to play, really need events to get in. There are plenty of guys, a lot of my friends, who are in that situation.

I remember a lot of the guys didn't go. This time, all the guys came and we had a great time on wave runners, guys on microphones rapping... I think it shows how close this team is. The last time, guys couldn't wait to leave.

I think there are obviously a few details that need to be worked out. But it sounds like guys are going to have the opportunity after mid-to-late September, if they want to take a big chunk of time off. And I think what that will do is allow guys to have more time off.

I know it's hurting him. A lot of guys wouldn't play through this. He hasn't missed a game because of his hand. There's been times where it's swollen up like a balloon. You have to give him a lot of credit for wanting to help the team.
