We hope that this is finally the year that the House will stand up and join the Senate to give Missouri consumers and small businesses protections for not only cell phones, but for fax machines, too.

I hope that the Senate passes the extension. In any small town, it's a huge difference to keep people in town. No matter who had the machines, no one was going to change the price. It was a level playing field for any and all businesses that had them.

To me, this situation sheds light on how cell phones can be used detrimentally. The state statute says they are allowed to have cell phones on campus. I think it would be better if they did not bring cell phones to school.
