I was on the bench loving the intensity in the game and the fans ..that?s what it?s about. All last year in the playoffs, that?s what we had in this building. Our guys did a great job of putting on a show for them.

Our kids off the bench, could be, should be starting and I don't worry about putting them into the fray, putting them into the thick of it. It's not, do I use them? It's, at which kid at which moment do I put them into the game. Our bench has played well for us all year.

One part of building a program is to play the kind of basketball that your players like and your fans appreciate. Our guys are playing hard, and that is the first and most important part of being appreciated as you play the game the right way. I think [the fans] really appreciate these guys because [the players] are putting their hearts out for them every night.

If we're competitive, we have great fans here. Calgary is a wealthy city, and Alberta is a wealthy province. The problem isn't the small market -- our problem is for seven years, we haven't got into the playoffs. We have to make the playoffs and show all the people. If we come up and make the playoffs this year, this franchise could take off big time.

As coaches, our intensity rubs off on these players. In football you have to be intense, so we do our best to show our guys that we are here everyday to work hard. We can't just show up on game day with intensity, it has to be there every time we step on the field, especially practice.

A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. We haven't decided on the (location of the) playoffs yet, but that's where we're going to be, though. We'll get that one a little bit later. We've got time to work that one out. But after yesterday's game (a 23-20 Saints win at Carolina), our goal right now is to be in the playoffs. That's where we're going to be. Like LSU, they had one great game on Saturday. We had one great game on Sunday. And Louisiana now has to show the rest of the world that we've got two great football teams, all right.

It was a great environment for a hockey game. The fans were terrific. It felt like a playoff game. The crowd was into it. It was nice to see such great support from the fans. I thought right from the outset the building was electric.

My guys never quit the whole game. The guys that came in off the bench came in and fought hard . . . That's hopefully a building block for the younger guys to see that.

I think it's great for the game when you get those kind of players going behind the bench who know the game, know the right way it's meant to be played. Especially with the way hockey is going right now, I think it's exciting and hopefully there are more guys who will step behind (the bench) and continue to do that.

As a player, you take your game to another level when you're in the playoffs. As much fun as I had shooting the spots, it was important for me to show that intensity.

Race tracks have somewhat gone away from building charisma and building an identity. They all seem to look the same. Fans are going to get a new perspective when they come to Las Vegas Motor Speedway that's so much different from all the other tracks. That's what it's all about, putting a new face on it for the fans.

The bench was big, no doubt about it. All those guys played great tonight. We're going to need that from them in the playoffs.

I'm here to win now, ... I don't want to wait three years to make the playoffs. I haven't made the playoffs yet. For me, it's this year. That's all I'm thinking about. Hopefully these veterans make a great contribution, which I'm sure they will, and at the same time it'll help the young guys bring their game up a level.

I don't think the guys are putting a lot of pressure on themselves. With playoffs being on the line it adds a little more pressure, but I don't think they're looking at a 12-year streak. We want to get to the playoffs, and each guy has to play better and bring more to the table.

This is a great opportunity for our fans to show their stuff. We hope fans will come to the game dressed in green with their game faces on. We want the movie executives to see in person why we believe the 'We Are ... Marshall' cheer is the best in the nation, and why it should be done in the movie by true Herd fans.
