en We were just focused. We just had to keep playing our game and not worry about how they were winning or if we made a mistake, they'd win. We just played our game.

en The girls seemed to refocus after the loss to Grove. Their energy was high. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. We tried to approach it one game at a time. We looked at Vinita (the first of the regional foes). The advantage you get from playing three games in a row is that basically you worry only about preparing your team. Sure, we give the girls a game plan but there isn't much time. You don't have time to make many changes.

en If we weren't 33-5 and doing as well as we are, you'd go in thinking, 'Boy, this is a big game to try and show them they made a mistake or whatever. Just where we're at, record-wise, you don't have to worry about that. For us, it's another game.

en We just need to go out there and play our game, and not worry about how our opponents have fared against other teams. We will just take it one game at a time wherever we go.

en We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

en I knew this would be a really tough meet. There were four teams that could score from 45 to 50 points. It was sort of like a jigsaw today. We held our ground and didn't make any mistakes. The other three teams made some mistakes. But, I don't worry about the other teams. I just worry about doing everything we can correctly. Then we let the chips fall where they will.
