We knew that Steve's flight would generate a lot of interest but we're delighted that the website, which we worked hard to develop, can cope with the unprecedented volume of traffic it has received. This is not your typical website: the information needs updating minute by minute and because of its design, we are able to use people here at mission control to write the stories rather than relying on IT support staff.

On the Internet there are no boundaries, there are no doors, there are no countries and lines; it's just the Internet, wide open and if somebody feels like hacking a website, they're just going to do it. There's no personal information on the website, so they're not hacking for personal information, stealing social security numbers or anything, they're hacking just to do it.

We spend a fair amount of time maintaining this database. We are continually updating the information on the businesses so we will always have the correct information. It is important to make changes when owners change or other pertinent information changes.

As our students are majoring in information technology, they need to be able to convey information overseas. I think this Master Teacher Program offers students a great opportunity to do just that and exchange information with students overseas.

We seek to regulate, not control, the Internet. If an American website censors or deletes harmful information posted by an Internet user, this is considered normal. But when a Chinese website does so, it is considered abnormal and criticized. I think this is not fair and is a form of double standard.

It's very difficult to be constantly in a position where people are critical - and not understanding always all the information that goes into making a decision.

We like to create a seamless experience for the user by making the HTML on the disc match the website. The website can offer the updated material and since the viewer uses their browser to view everything they often can't tell whether they are on the disc or whether they are surfing the Web. It's just that surfing on the disc is so much faster.

The concept is to help companies fully disclose corporate information, ... That is putting the information on the web, make it available to any one coming to the website in an efficient manner and using the internet which is becoming the standard of full disclosure.

They do have concerns along the lines that Chantal is mentioning, and, in particular, they raised with us very recently there should be an opt-out provision for students, and we're revisiting the various concerns students have about the use of the website.

Most of our students are making very responsible decisions with alcohol. We certainly do have students who are making high-risk choices. . . . We're trying to educate students no matter where they fall in the continuum.

I do not buy the premise of the question at all. I am sure the member would want to be more clear with Canadians. Yes, any time they are undertaking renovations we would encourage them, obviously, to talk to professionals so that they can get the right information. We have been told, and it is on Health Canada's website as well as [the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation's website], which advised all the stakeholders and so on, that if left undisturbed it does not pose a health risk. Yes, we need to inform Canadians on the health and safety of their homes but I am sure the member would not want to alarm Canadians.

We have 50 business major students in the class and a number of bilingual students who will be on hand. Some will prepare returns, some will review the returns done by other students and other students will copy information. Some students also will be involved in the electronic filing.
