It's good to learn ordsprog

en It's good to learn from a win like this because it could have very easily went the other way. We have to understand that it's probably going to be like this every single week that we play the rest of the season. We're going to have to get used to winning close games in the fourth quarter. Hopefully, the experience of tonight will pay off down the line against somebody.

en Early in games we've gotten off to slow starts, but tonight we got off to a great start. In the second quarter we kind of got lazy a little bit and they capitalized on it. But the fourth quarter has been our quarter early in the season in terms of hitting our shots and executing our plays, and that's something that we did tonight.

en It was a good feeling not to have to play in the fourth quarter. It's always good to get some rest. We let a couple (of games) slip away here, but that's old news. We've put it behind us. This is a new year and we have new goals.

en The past five or six games we've been a little bit tired. Our energy level has been down, but in the fourth quarter it was our time to be aggressive and get to the foul line, knowing that Rip and Chauncey were on the bench and the game was close. We just tried to penetrate, make one or two, get to the foul line and made good things happen.

en We just lost our intensity in the fourth quarter. It was our fault, no excuses. We can't let the little things bother us, and that's what happened tonight. We did a good job of keeping them in front of us the first half, but we just didn't play good enough defense in the fourth quarter. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. We just lost our intensity in the fourth quarter. It was our fault, no excuses. en Our main guys played really well in the third quarter. Then we gave our young guys some fourth quarter experience against a team trying to get a win after losing 10 straight. It would have been better if they would have got the win but overall they did some good things and got some good experience in a close game.

en We all knew coming into the season that the league was wide open. We stepped up in the fourth quarter of many games and won some very close games.

en Tonight I thought our second half was especially good. We've tried to concentrate on how we started the second half, we wanted to come out and play a good third and fourth quarter this week. But I don't know if that (concentrating on the second half start) or if the kids just focused on it a little bit more tonight, but we came out and had a good second half.

en Our (third and fourth line) is gonna be important, a big factor, especially when you play every other night for the rest of the season. The third and fourth lines have to pick it up and be the difference most nights.

en We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

en The test of a true championship team isn't how we play in the big games, but how we play in the small games. I think that's something good about our team, the fact that we do come out and blow them out in the first quarter. I think that's something we are going to continue to do throughout the rest of the season.

en The last two home games, we really didn't play well. Tonight in the fourth quarter, we played like a team and stayed together. We also played team defense to close the game.

en I rarely get any rest in a game, always playing 44 to 48 (minutes). Tonight, with the guys contributing, making shots and playing extremely well, I had a chance to rest, sit down and gather myself a little bit to where I came in in the fourth quarter fresh and was able to close out the game.

en He was a guy who was able to go hard and run hard on virtually every single play of the game. It didn't make any difference if it was the fourth quarter, in the middle of a two-minute drive, or the third play of the game. He was always very, very close to his top speed. ... Even if he had good players covering him, he'd wear them down.

en In terms of this earnings reporting season, more what people will be looking for is what the fourth quarter will look like. Nine out of the last 10 times, the fourth quarter has been higher, so we'll be playing close attention to any kind of guidance we get.
