This is an unbelievable deal. We're giving our customers some of the best values in the market for high speed Internet services and home networking gateways, and now we're offering to setup those services for little or no charge. We can pull all the facility services in one place, so that we no longer have students running in so many directions to get their wellness needs. It is our opportunity to give students more services and big space in a more modern fashion.

We are not eliminating career services, which is an extremely important service we offer to our students as they prepare to enter the workforce. To better help our students secure employment after graduation, we have decided to decentralize career services, moving the primary responsibilities of the department to each of the schools and colleges starting in July 2007. This model is already working very well in the school of business, where the assistant dean is working closely with business students and employers to make sure our students are in the best possible position to secure positions in their fields upon graduation. We hope to replicate that success in the other schools and colleges. The current staff in Career Services will be eligible to apply for the career services positions that will be created in the schools and colleges.

We don't have any immediate plans to charge new fees. But we think it's logical to charge for new services.

We've developed a very inexpensive technology that can detect an infectious agent. It's clearly faster and cheaper than any competing technology. This is another step on the way to point-of-care diagnostics.

We are hoping that members of our community will take the time to attend our Open House on Friday between 3 and 7 p.m. to learn about our services and to take advantage of all of the wonderful information that will be available at no charge. Parents will be able to enroll their youngsters for services, make appointments, talk to our medical provider and learn how to access our services.

The students are in charge of getting the show together. The organizational aspect of the exhibit can benefit all of the students, not just students interested in pursuing art as a career. Marketing yourself and organizing presentations is an important aspect of any field.
