The inbound road project could be delayed and the [control] tower may be affected. Fewer projects will be completed within a given year.

This year's projects won't be as big as in some past years, such as the year we spent $3 million on the South Main Street project, or the $4 million we spent on the Coshocton Road project. It's going to be an active year with smaller projects spread around town.

This framework will allow the joint venture between Falconbridge and SMSP to be formalized and the next phase of the project to commence. The project is now in a position where the requirements to allow the project to proceed are now completed or will be completed by the end of the year.

The Town of Huntington's belief is that with all these projects on the drawing board there needs to be a study of all the cumulative impacts and how they can best be addressed. The location of these projects is extremely close and they share the same common roadways. There has to be a cumulative impact. We are not trying to hold up the project. We are trying to foster good planning. Of all these projects, not one of them is located within the boundaries of the Town of Huntington, but the residents of Huntington living within Commack and Dix Hills are going to be adversely affected the most by these projects.

I don't see any negative fallout (from Hard Rock) for us, one way or the other. If anything, it's going to be a plus. There's fewer and fewer projects actually out there that are getting built and there's still the same number of buyers out there that want to own. I think it helps us and any other projects going forward that are high quality.

Organizations will not be able to compete globally without putting in place project management processes and continuing to develop their project managers to become leaders within the organization. Technical skills are no longer enough. Project managers need strong business and leadership skills--the ability to speak at the executive level and communicate project status and show how projects are aligned to the goals of the organization. Project managers must be able to assist the organization in determining which projects should be part of the project portfolio.

This is a project that has been a concern to the city for over a year. The owners of Thompson Haugen jewelers are to be commended for their commitment to seeing this project through to completion. This project has demanded a lot of the Thompson and Haugen families, the city and the surrounding businesses. We will all breath a sigh of relief when the project is safely completed.

These projects are affected because we don't have the funding yet. It costs so much to complete an entire project, so we address the more immediate needs and avoid lingering. And then the other portions can be done as the needs warrant.

It is a $23 million project divided into three phases, and it is currently in the second phase. We are currently doing work on the eastern end of the platform, and Phase II will be completed this fall. Phase III will shift to the west end and will be six months in duration. The entire project will be completed by next spring.

This was kept in mind while planning this project, to stage getting the interchange done with Beck and the Haggerty bridge done before the start of the project on Sheldon. We want the entire M-14 project to be completed by Nov. 1, when the Sheldon railroad project could begin.

The project will be started in midsummer and be completed in the summer of 2007. They're changing the location of the road, so we've got a lot of excavation and dirt work, and building a bridge.

The answer is because it is a private project. We don't set construction dates. It's not a Metro-run project. Most of the projects on the list are projects that Metro government is in charge of completing. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

To get more support, we have projects that hit close to home, so residents can get excited about it. The scope of the project is to increase the capacity and safety (of the road).

They could do any project dealing with a scientific process as long as it goes by Ohio standards. We want them to do their project to the best of their ability, whatever their ability is. Students can keep their projects and add on to it each year. Then they have the opportunity to move on to the state level and win scholarships.

Three hundred million is a tiny drop in the bucket. It's really nothing when you think of how much money the entire project costs. That's what makes us nervous. These projects are so expensive. Are they ever really going to get funded? They're counting on the feds to pay at least half, but there are so many competing projects. We're very worried about whether these projects will really be built.
