We didn't play within ordsprog

We didn't play within ourselves. We took bad shots and we were letting them control the pace of the game. If we tried to pass the ball inside there would be three players swarming to the ball and if we tried to drive to the basket it would get swatted away.

We were really rushing, I felt like, early in the ball game. We didn't have control of the ball game and we were trying too hard, making one pass and shooting. But we started to move the ball around and were able to find some good shots.

A lot of our shots weren't even close (in the second half) ? we had a couple of air balls. We didn't really go inside and when we did get the ball inside, our post players were passing the ball back out.

I was pleased with the way I improved over the course of the match, ... By the end of the match, I was much more comfortable. But I was a little nervous in the beginning and the ball was really flying. I was trying to go after the ball so it didn't play me, but I wasn't quite committed to letting my swing go, so I was sort of moving forward and not finishing my swing, and I was losing control of a few shots.

We did a nice job on the wing getting the ball inside. I thought the play of our wing players was very consistent. They didn't try and force the ball in when it wasn't there. Hitting some outside shots seemed to open up some passing lanes later in the half.

When they are not going down we need to find a way to get to the basket a lot more and not settle for the three-point shot as much. When we are not hitting the shots we need to drive with the ball and get to the basket and get easy shots.

We've got some kids who can put the ball in the basket, that didn't tonight, ... We missed (too) many shots under the basket. If we make some of those, it's not even a game.

It comes down to sticking with our game plan, not getting away from the things we know we need to ? that's continuing to find Yao, and keeping our turnovers down. When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

Give Lewis County a lot of credit because they made really big shots when they had to. We had our opportunities late to tie but we didn't get it done. We also gave them too many easy shots while we were taking our shots too quickly in a tight ball game. We need to play a lot better defensively and rebound the ball better.

I knew the ball was going in. No question about it. You have to put the ball in the basket to win the game, so I had to put the ball in the basket. And backboard? No! I was trying to find the quickest way to put the ball in the basket, period.

It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

She's one of the best players in the country. You look at her and think she's like 5-foot or 5-2, I can block her shot. But she's got a lot of heart. She can hit the 3 ... and she's so quick and she's got a great handle with the ball. She can drive inside the 3, and she's looking to pass too.

She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. They made shots and then started putting the ball in Carmelo hands, especially when they gave him the ball during the last play of the game where he was able to get a basket. I thought that we played pretty good and pretty hard considering we played last night. Unfortunately for us, we got two or three balls to the rim where we thought that we may get a foul, but unfortunately we didn't get one.

Antonio was going to the middle and he did a great job on the boards. He is 6-foot-6 and so athletic. They were letting our guys shoot outside and I needed him to take the ball to the hole. He hit some big 3-point shots and took the ball inside to draw a lot of fouls.

The first drive he had the pass interference call. The deep ball to Chambers, he's right there, that guy made the play and he didn't. He made a great play in the end zone for an interception. So like most of us, when you end up a little short, we've all got some room for improvement. But I don't think one guy or one play is the difference in that game.
