There has always been some cause for concern about that. But I feel we have done a very good job at doing our homework on these projects, and really, we hope the public will look at each one of these projects as they stand on there own merit.

We basically had all the students' projects presented to the public there, and the reaction was extremely positive. I'd say it was a very successful presentation, and I think they were impressed by the level of analysis that went into some of the projects.

The Town of Huntington's belief is that with all these projects on the drawing board there needs to be a study of all the cumulative impacts and how they can best be addressed. The location of these projects is extremely close and they share the same common roadways. There has to be a cumulative impact. We are not trying to hold up the project. We are trying to foster good planning. Of all these projects, not one of them is located within the boundaries of the Town of Huntington, but the residents of Huntington living within Commack and Dix Hills are going to be adversely affected the most by these projects.

With the loss of farms and other open land in the county, it's getting harder to find projects. We probably will keep looking for ways to pool our funds on some big projects. But we're also always looking for habitat projects to do close to home.

We can't continue to do work on projects that will just sit on a shelf, and spend millions for something that will never happen. We do projects that we feel are realistic and can be done.

Suppliers are still looking for the return on investment that will help them justify their projects. That's what it will take before they feel comfortable about moving projects along and before we see widespread adoption.

Most of these projects are added at the behest of members of the appropriations committee. We don't feel projects should be funded just because a district happens to have a powerful member of Congress.

With the demographics of our communities' populations, we have to understand there will be less and less public money to support projects. Today there's an increasing burden on the working population, and there will be ramifications of having fewer discretionary funds to work with for future projects.

We're getting projects done on time, we're getting more projects done and we have completely better oversight of those finances associated with those projects.

Three hundred million is a tiny drop in the bucket. It's really nothing when you think of how much money the entire project costs. That's what makes us nervous. These projects are so expensive. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. Are they ever really going to get funded? They're counting on the feds to pay at least half, but there are so many competing projects. We're very worried about whether these projects will really be built.

All indications I have is, the projects we are quoting seem to be real and have time frames on them. And they?re good-sized projects.

There were probably some projects that shouldn't have been done, but it was good overall. Our infrastructure was in bad shape. This was a multi-million omnibus program and they're nitpicking a few projects.

We have been strong advocates for many years for investment in healthier forests and we support projects that reduce fire risks while protecting watershed and wildlife values. Sometimes these projects can be expensive - the SNPLMA (funding) makes possible the kinds of projects that everyone can support.

We have letters of intent out on both projects. We haven't broken ground on either project, but the interest in these projects has been extremely good, both from national tenants and local.

Development cannot take place without projects coming but projects should also not cause any problems to the people. So if these problems are taken care of, projects are welcome.
