We couldn't go down ordsprog

en His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. We couldn't go down 0-2 playing at home. We haven't had a lot of success on the West Coast, so we've got to find a way to win some games.

en I don't know how satisfied you can be when we still have a losing record. We feel like we're definitely playing better. The reality is we're about to find out. Our toughest West Coast trip is normally the circus trip [in November]. This year, they're flip-flopped. We did well on the first West Coast trip [3-3]. Now, this is a big one. All these teams [Dallas, New Orleans, Phoenix, Utah, Denver, Sacramento and the Los Angeles Clippers] are quality teams. Each team is really playing well. It's going to be a big challenge for us.

en I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

en It gives us an opportunity to see how we are doing against another conference and keep that momentum of playing two games a week. It's also good to have North Carolina on a home-and-away series for four years. It helps our conference and West Coast basketball.

en The Chicago Bulls haven't won on too many places in the West Coast in the last seven years, ... Whatever it is, we've got to fix it come Wednesday [in Portland], because every game out here is going to be tough, and we haven't had any success. We knew they were going to be upset that we stole one from them in Chicago, so we should have been ready.

en This was a big character test for us. This could have sent us reeling in the wrong direction. We acted like we couldn't play on the West Coast. Then we come home and give them a run for their money.

en We've got guys playing from all over the country playing here, East Coast, West Coast; plus you are on national television. It's a way to show the world you can play.

en Ever since the All-Star break, it seems like I haven't had too many good games. It's frustrating. We've still got six games with Cleveland. And the way that they're playing, they could sweep us right now. If we keep on playing like we're playing, we're not going to the playoffs. We'll be home on Oct. 3.

en There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

en We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.

en The coaches and the girls were really nice and they made me feel like I was at home. But I am nervous because everyone always says the East Coast is completely different than the West Coast.

en This is a funny game. I was telling (Chauncey) Billups that we acted like we couldn't play on the west coast. Then we come home and we give them a run for their money. And we won a big ball game.

en Having back-to-back West Coast games is tough on your team, but I don't think we're the only ones to have it, so why complain? If you're a West Coast team and you have back-to-back East Coast games, that's tough, too. You just have to deal with it.

en We're out here on the West Coast, as far away as you can get from the East Coast and your [ESPN] studios and most of the media. As long as we can fly under the radar and just keep playing well, that doesn't bother us.

en We're going to take into account the status of the relief and rescue efforts in Louisiana and the entire Gulf Coast and apply league policies and precedents in as much of an extent as possible. NFL teams play their games outside their home stadiums either in another NFL city or in a city in their home territory. There is no precedent for playing any games in a non-NFL city.
