en It was great to get away to train in better weather than we had here,

en We live in Seattle. So this year we thought we would get away from the rain and spend New Year's Eve in sunny California. We have had our Wine Train reservations for New Year's Eve for months. Then the weather forced the Wine Train to cancel. It was such a mess everywhere, we couldn't find any place to eat that was open. The weather was so bad the pizza people wouldn't deliver to our hotel. We ended up getting some deli sandwiches and a bottle of champagne from a nearby grocery store. What a disappointment. But maybe we will try again next year.

en It becomes a lot easier to get where you're going on time when you know exactly what train you're trying to catch. Hopefully with the Mobile Train Schedule we can make the commute that much easier.

en If we can get by this without having lost a whole lot, (the weather conditions) we've had so far this week will be fine. Dry, sunny weather is great for controlling skin diseases.

en Even though the weather wasn't ideal for the Fun Run, everyone said they had a lot of fun. We had warm weather last year, too. Hopefully, the third time will be the 'charm' and we'll have great trail conditions in 2007.

en We are in a general weather pattern the last couple weeks where there is going to be, every few days, a weather system moving across the Northern Great Plains.
