en It was just an unfortunate accident, but the building performed exactly how it was built to perform.

en I threw five innings and then got traded. Then I went three innings, one inning and 1 1/3 innings. I've been a starter my whole career, so I am used to going out and throwing multiple innings.

en He felt like every time he took the ball, he was going to go nine innings, no matter what. The good ones, they perform even though they're not 100 percent -- they find a way to get the job done.

en A lot of stuff we have done during training camp was done competitively. When you game plan, there are certain elements that you prepare for, certain things that you want to do. Certain plays will complement other plays. It's a pretty dramatic difference from that point. (But) we'll see. I'm not going to say that was the result of anything. You still have to go out and perform and do it.

en My role is to complement. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. It's nothing new. I've been doing this since 1968. I am very perceptive; I am a very secure person. So therefore, it's easy for me just to step back and complement.
