en My body was starting to crave more workouts. When I started working out I sat down and thought about it and I said, ?Why am I working out if I?m not going to work out to get in game shape.? That?s when I decided to play a couple more years and see how I felt after that.

en After the season, I always take some time off and then start my workouts. My body felt good, so I kept working out and my body continued to hold up. I'd love to get one more year in, but if I don't, I can ride off in the sunset.

en Had we listened to Jimmy Carter, 20 years ago, and taken his advice and started working on conservation, working on alternatives, we'd be in great shape right now. We didn't listen.

en After getting my blood tested and having a nutritionist show me exactly which foods work best as fuel for me, I can feel the machine working efficiently, my body grabbing at the food after workouts.

en We were up 2-1, and both of our losses at home were tough to swallow. I thought that even the sixth game was our best game of the playoffs, a game we felt that we should've won. It was difficult, but we had a few injuries that hurt our chances. The thing about Edmonton is that there is no better place to play playoff hockey. When it's over a prematurely as it has been in the last couple of years it just leaves everybody wanting more and wondering why more hasn't been delivered. We're starting to get impatient and hopefully we can deliver.

en When people come they may not necessarily know which place they're going to go into that evening, but they can pick one of a number of them. It's starting to shape up. We need a couple more, but we're working on it.

en Wes is a youngster who is a gym rat. He loves to work out and is always working on his game, always working on his body. I think he's pushed himself as close to the max as anybody I've coached in a long, long time.

en It's good for us to seen Brendan working so hard. Most big men, they stop working at a certain point. This is his fifth year and he's gotten better each year. He was in the gym the whole summer working on his body, trying not to get out of shape; so he should have a good year.

en The kids came out to play today. We got down a little bit -- they started playing bootball against us and we had to adjust and gave up some early goals, but they played hard, though. They started working the ball around and played as a team, they hustled and kept working at it. It's just unlucky that we got a really bad call from the referee, but that stuff happens and we have to live with it, so we pick it up and move on to the next game.

en He's had a little tenderness in his left shoulder. He started feeling it a couple days ago. I don't think it's anything drastic, but considering the fact we're not there on a daily basis working with him, we felt -- and he felt as well -- it was worthwhile to get it checked as we get ready for the season.

en Everything was so distorted, so out of whack. Now, everything's starting to shape up. I spent a couple months working on my house, and I'm finishing up with my mom's house. I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

en Lots of women dread the thought of putting on a swimsuit after a long winter. If you haven't been working out, you're probably self-conscious about showing your body. Even when you're in good shape, you feel better about some spots than others.
