Six-to-12 months down the road, the tech stocks will still outperform the market. Our favorite group right now is the semiconductors. We're in the beginning phase of their multi-year growth.

The door has been pried open for tech stocks, but it's not a welcome. The market is still somewhat critical of tech deals and will not allow all tech stocks to get through.

The overall tech market is overvalued a good 5 to 10 percent. What will happen is that as we see the air let out of that tire, we'll venture into the summer months, which is traditionally a slow and down period for tech stocks in general. So we're advocating sitting on the sidelines until September.

It's been quite a bizarre market. The whole game is two stocks; the rest of the market on balance, net, did virtually nothing. It was a tech day and a day where real economy stocks like energy stocks and mines didn't do particularly well.

The greatest mistake that people have made over the past three-to-six months regarding tech stocks is failing to listen to what the market is telling them,

Sentiment on junior high-tech stocks and China high-tech stocks is quite negative for the time being and until we see Nasdaq stabilize we won't see a big change in the market psychology.

The tech market was a speculators' market back then. It was a difficult environment to invest in. Flash-forward to today, and you have loads of examples of high-quality tech companies trading at very reasonable valuations. ... I never hoped that the market will go down. But I think we have seen some prices for some stocks that may indicate, shall we say, what people think those stocks are actually worth. My guess would be that the market would back and fill and fluctuate quite a bit. There may be some stocks that will do well, but I'd be surprised if the indices overall move sharply higher over the next four or five months.

Our advice to investors going into this period in time, ... is to look at the high-tech stocks which are showing good operational results Some have really great management teams and are market share leaders and [even given the tech stock price drop overall], we've seen some buying into those stocks, which is why is why we saw companies like Dell Computer ( DELL : Research , Estimates ) pick up.

It's a little bit of a divergent market. There's some money on the sidelines coming into the tech stocks, and any meaningful rally from here will probably be led by the tech group.

The worst point of the tech cycle is probably upon us now, but the actual results and the commentary on earnings are no surprise. There's a selling exhaustion in regards to tech stocks. People are trying to focus on the road ahead. Looking forward; there is a lot of upside potential.
