We're going to simplify ordsprog

We're going to simplify a lot of the things that we do because we are young, we're going to try to get as good as we can in a few things and not try to be mediocre in a lot of things. I think if we can do that, we'll have some success.

I think so. A lot of things have happened since the past. I came back in 2003 with Elliott and we had a lot of success. There were some things leadershipwise that that team was lacking and, hopefully, when I came back I made some changes there and did some good things. We won some races and had a lot of success. A lot of things have gone on since then. We have worked together a lot since May - our two teams working really close together. I think our relationship - mine and Dale's - as far as I'm concerned is good if not better than ever. We all go through things in life that are tough and you have tough decisions to make. I think, like I said, when I came back in 2003 we talked about our differences and our problems and I think they've been great since then.

We need players to know exactly what we're doing, so we need to simplify some things. It's good to have some time to be introspective, take a look at things and see where we go from here.

I think before when I was first coming out on the tour and young, you know, you're very hungry to achieve and to have success and to make money, to win tournaments, to get a high ranking, just to be noticed and get contracts. All those kind of things you just get caught up with. For me now it's different because I have achieved a lot of great things in my career. I don't play for those things anymore now. It was a good win because GPS is a good team. But I'm not pleased with some routine things. Those little things can make or break you. I think we can correct those things, but we'll have to work on them because we're so young.

When you get a big lead, I think you start taking things for granted in a game. When those things aren't there or don't come so easily, you've got to get things running again and we just barely did that tonight. North has a lot of young players. They're going to be very good one of these days.

I felt pretty good. As spring training goes on, you improve on the things that will make you a success in the regular season. Today, I did a few things right and a few things I feel like I can improve on. I feel like I'm headed in the right direction. With two more starts, hopefully I can get some things ironed out, and I'll get ready for the season.

Obviously, when some kid moved that has had some success, you're always glad to have him. He really did some good things, especially in the last couple of weeks. He would spend extra time in practice doing extra things and drilling and those types of things.

He doesn't allow the success or hype to get to his head. Things are coming at him real fast and you can handle it two ways, well or not so well. He's handled it well and it's refreshing because you see a lot of things go wrong with young guys these days.

Each one of us has to look in the mirror and simplify things - do our little things that everybody in here does best and what makes you accountable to the team and bring that to the table. I don't care if we win 2-1 - just get the win in Colorado.

It's just that if you're not disruptive everything seems to be repeated endlessly - not so much the good things but the bland things - the ordinary things - the weaker things get repeated- the stronger things get suppressed and held down and hidden.

It doesn't matter whether you get beat 100-0 or 1-0, it all counts as one game. That's the way we look at it. We did some good things the other night, and obviously we did some bad things. We'll build on the good things and correct the bad things and come out with a better effort.

I think it's gone to us having some success and knowing we can get a lot of things done to everybody wanting to do it right away instead of just letting things go in the flow like it was when we were doing well. I think that's just the biggest thing right now ? we're so in a hurry to do things that it's not turning out well.

There are a lot of things that go into creating success. I don't like to do just the things I like to do. I like to do things that cause the company to succeed. I don't spend a lot of time doing my favorite activities.
