en Washington State has a defensive system regardless of who is in the post, they are going to monster the post, which is a double team. Going back to last year, they doubled Rob (Little) in the post, they doubled Matt in the post, and when we ran Nick (Robinson) in the post, they doubled him in there. Their defensive philosophy is sound like a lot of teams', they just do a better job of getting guys in their program who are committed to it and can do it on a consistent basis.

en They did a good job of being patient and trying to get the ball inside. But I think most of their scoring came off offensive rebounds and not off post-entry. That was just a hustle thing and we didn't get it done early.

en Losing Stan is a tremendous loss for us. Stan is the kind of guy that can get into the game without scoring. He can handle the ball for us, he's a defensive stopper, he rebounds, he passes the ball well.

en As long as Steve Francis is there doing what he's doing, Dwight Howard won't get any better.

en As much as we're known for our goal scoring, we're also very strong defensively. We can do the same to them and stifle their offence. If we have to win a game 1-0, we'll win a game 1-0.

en That's what it is all about, coming in and playing a game like it is your last. That's what we did. We fought on the defensive end, we fought trying to get rebounds, and we let the offense take care of itself.

en I'm please with our offence. I'm not too pleased with our defensive side of the game.

en We caused almost 20 turnovers per game, we averaged 9.9 steals per game, and (Wisconsin) doesn't turn the ball over that much. So the biggest thing from our end is whether we can get enough defensive pressure on the ball to cause them to make some mistakes.

en We were a little flat early on but we battled through it and then got the transition- game going. Our transition game really got the ball from the defensive end to the offensive end well to get us some scoring opportunities.

en In both our wins over the week our three post players led us in scoring. Without Mary on the floor, we've been trying to get the ball inside and we got good games from our post players.
