en We tried a couple of things throughout the week. It ended up with Coach Tice doing it. Coach Loney was up in the booth, calling plays down. He is always bringing up good ideas and he is the (offensive coordinator). But the best way for us today was Coach Tice calling them in. It worked for us and got us in rhythm.

en All season we've been [playing for his job]. Whether it's for Coach Tice's job or not, we think Coach Tice is definitely going to have a shot at coming back. We're hoping that he does.

en If we win out, then Tice is a great coach,

en [Support for Tice came from the Vikings' locker room, too.] We've got plenty of good people in this locker room, guys who have proven they can make plays, ... We're not playing a four-game season. Everybody's got to relax. That's what Coach Tice has done a good job of doing, telling us to relax.

en It's a tough deal. I was hoping coach Tice would remain the coach, but I guess ownership decided to go in a different direction.

en Like Coach Tice told me, I can't get out there and try to jump back in and try to run and get where I was, ... I've got to step up the ladder. So basically I've just got to be smart right now instead of trying to be who I am.

en They used to call the Astrodome the eighth wonder of the world, but for my money, it's Mike Tice still having his job as head coach of the Vikings.

en I actually worked him out. We joked about it. Coach [Mike] Tice called it the 'wheelchair workout' because here I was going out to Cal Berkeley to work out a kid with a broken ankle.

en There are excellent football coaches out there, and excellent assistants that could do a good job. But it's going to take time. With Tice, you have an excellent football coach. I think he should be given a chance to come back and coach that football team.

en [Vikings head coach Mike Tice made his most telling comment yet regarding his inclination to remain with Minnesota.] This is my team, ... We've got a mission, and we're going to stay on our paths.

en He's our leader. He's our captain, ... We have his back, just like we have Coach Tice and our coaching staff's back.
