The big difference for ordsprog
The big difference for a safety playing cornerback is you cover a receiver, but out on an island where it's a whole different world. I was glad I came out with as few a mistakes as possible.

In reality, his true position would be cornerback. We probably slighted him somewhat, but we needed him at free safety. He was really an extra linebacker for us. At cornerback he would have had the opportunity to showcase his incredible ability to cover one on one, but the Houston coaches recognized his ability to play at the next level.

Safety, cornerback, it don't matter. I want to play all over. This is the Pro Bowl, man. I'm not just a receiver. I'm a football player.
Chad Johnson
[The Bucs signed seven players to their practice squad Monday. All seven were in training camp with the Bucs before being released. They are linebacker Matt Grootegoed, center Scott Jackson, cornerback James Patrick, safety Kalvin Pearson, wide receiver DeAndrew Rubin, running back Derek Watson and defensive end Andrew Williams.] Some of those guys were close calls, ... We're glad to have them back.
Jon Gruden
I look at him as a wide receiver for the fact that I really haven't seen anybody cover him -- corner, safety, you name it,
Drew Brees
I love running receiver routes, ... I'm too big and too physical for a corner or a safety to cover me up and too fast for a linebacker. So it's a mismatch.

That's a play that Chris Rivers should've made. But that's part of playing cornerback, and kids are going to make mistakes.

Coach has me playing a lot of receiver and I wanted to do that last year, ... But he really didn't put it in that much. Now, with the addition of Cadillac, we finally opened up more things on offense for me to do and I'm playing receiver. I enjoy doing that. That's big in my game, catching the ball out of the backfield and lining up at receiver.

I'm glad to see us swing the bat well. We were able to cover up our mistakes by scoring a lot of runs. Until we can figure out how to field the ball, we better keep swinging the bat.
Marty Smith
My personal favorite is a tiny wide receiver-cornerback named Ken Beasley. He is going to be a stud for them.
Jamie Newberg
I'm just glad to spread joy around the world. And I'm glad that Oswald wasn't reduced to playing the role of a rabbit at a dog track.
Al Michaels
You're going to have to cover longer than you normally would, because when you get pressure on [Hagans] he can create and buy time for his receivers to get open, ... There's no telling how long you may have to cover a receiver. That's going to present a challenge in itself.
Milton Harris
[There's the laminated cornerback checklist —] Who Can Cover 85 in 2005? ... The IRS. They've been on me for quite a while.

He's just another receiver, he's obviously a great receiver, but the difference is really just when he's between you and the ball getting around such a big body and making a play on it. He has soft hands. He's a good player. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.
