It was a fun ordsprog

It was a fun game to watch even as a coach. I thought I was watching Duke/North Carolina there for a little while. Both teams shot the ball unbelievable.

Fans like dynasties. Every coach in the conference wants it to change, but we've got to do something to change that. Yeah, there are teams capable of beating North Carolina and Duke, but they've got to go do it. Until somebody does it they deserve all the attention.

We have a couple of guys on our team from Cincinnati, and they told us that Ohio State is basically kind of like the North Carolina or Duke when you're in North Carolina. We're kind of around that every day. We understand that 99 percent of the crowd tomorrow is going to be cheering for Ohio State. But we're OK with that thought, I think.

It's my Kansas, it's my Duke, it's my North Carolina. Growing up here and growing up as a little kid during the national tournament and helping out in the dressing rooms with my dad, watching all the great teams and great coaches that have passed through this building ... and also coming to Blue Dragon games since I was a little kid and admiring the players ...

You have to believe Duke and North Carolina and Maryland are all going to be teams in the postseason that are going to be very successful. They've proven themselves throughout the season.

The colleges are so close to each other, and the alumni all work with each other so closely. So if one guy gets too strong, they demand that the other one get moving. The competition level is tremendous. Wake Forest, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Duke are all within 35 miles of each other.

We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. We just have to get the ball rolling so once we're into those bigger games, then we're just clicking.

The reality is our season prepared us so well that if we have to play Duke in the second game, we've done that three times this year. We've played North Carolina and Duke back-to-back that this would be the third time. We're just very prepared for this moment.

Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out and get the next game. Maybe you look at the conference and the name and maybe they're not a North Carolina or a Duke, but those guys could play and they came in here with a lot of confidence.

There's definitely some things that um, yeah, I guess you could say, yeah, licking your chops, ... It still comes down to execution. We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. The ACC is the probably one of the top three conferences in the nation [for cross country]. The top teams are N.C. State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Duke. Boston College might be all right in their first year in the conference. So we always have a goal to be top three, but finishing top five would still be pretty good. It is really competitive.

Shannon Hawrylo

With it being your first Duke-North Carolina game, you can't help but get nervous. You don't know what to expect because this game is the highest level of competition at the college basketball level. We will see if everyone is ready for that.

I would have pursued Roy Williams all out because he's a great coach. But knowing his love for Kansas, I think the only way we had a shot is because he was a North Carolina grad.

Watching him is unbelievable. His team's one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, he gets the MVP of this game with all these great players. It's unbelievable. The kid is a freak of nature.

I look at Duke today, and North Carolina, too. They bring it every game, every possession. We had that same intensity. Coaches and programs that are always winning come out with a purpose, focused and intense. That was a McGuire trademark.
