We do have a peak deployment strategy that sees more officers on the road on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It's a continual study. If there's a change in trend and (officers) do need to re-evaluate where they need to be, they have the statistics.

Fridays and Saturdays haven't been too bad, but Sundays have been real tough. I've been here every step of the way. I'm getting ready, I just haven't been sweating on Sundays so I am anxious to get going.

Thursdays are obviously very popular here at PGE Park, as are Fridays and Saturdays, so from that standpoint hopefully our fans will find the 2005 schedule very accessible.

I've not been very kind to our kids with the scheduling. We've been tired in a lot of matches. But we've been wrestling Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and that's the same days of the state tournament.

Originally we were going to title it "The Daily Show With Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Off," but it was too long.

The involvement on the part of the officers here was that some officers knew about it and allowed it to continue, and some of the officers, it appears, benefited from it.

Correctional officers are just like police officers on the streets of any community. But for correctional officers, everyone they work with is a convicted felon and nearly half have committed a violent offense. They never get to rescue a kitten from a tree.

I think the change is not going to make much of a difference in terms of service because security is on patrol all the time, regardless of where the headquarters is located. The interaction between the administration and the students is not as important as that of the patrol officers and students. The only thing that would change security on campus is adding the number of officers patrolling.

I said this really the last couple years: Saturdays look like Sundays now, and that's good for football. They truly are training the players the way we want to use them on Sundays.

I had the opportunity to meet with NTEU-represented CBP employees at Blaine the day before this dangerous incident. They expressed to me their frustration about the continuing denial of LEO status . . . I commend these brave officers for their role in apprehending dangerous murder suspects, and call on Congress to expeditiously approve H.R. 1002 and recognize that CBP officers are indeed federal law enforcement officers.

Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. Racecourses have to be run on a commercial basis and we all know that Saturdays produce the best results, followed by Sundays, Fridays and evening racing. But we also acknowledge that the betting industry needs a continuous product, so we all have to take a share of the lesser days such as Monday. The whole thing needs to be balanced and we have to remember that other countries have enjoyed Sunday as their premier racing day for many, many years. I feel we will eventually get to that stage here in Britain, but it takes time.

Corrections officers deal with the same killers, rapists and thugs the street cops do. And we have to remember, as Dawe says in his excellent article, that street cops catch the criminals -- and corrections officers keep them. I think it's time we give these officers the recognition and credit due.

These officers have spoken loud and clear to Metro -- they want to change the status quo. This day continues our broad initiative for the Teamsters to become the national voice for those special Americans who protect and serve us all. We are now ready, willing and able to go out and bring other units of police officers under the banner of the Teamsters. We have the knowledge, experience and determination to make sure that their dedication and their willingness to put their lives on the line every day does not go unrewarded.
