I was disappointed but it's up to him to decide. It was not a surprise that he refused since he had been hesitating for such a long time.

I would say that maybe it's not as big of a surprise to us as it is to some other guys. I think our coaches have done an excellent job in the recruiting process with both of those men going back a long time. It's not as much a surprise as the outside world might think.

This is something to which I have aspired to for a long, long time. It is a job I would have been disappointed at not filling at some stage of my career.

It certainly was one of the more disappointing losses we've had in an awful long time. I'm proud of the way the kids came back. But I'm incredibly, incredibly disappointed in the loss and incredibly disappointed in myself.
