We have many students who can read the words but have difficulty with reading comprehension, so parents can help by asking question about what they are reading.

en It is so important for parents to read in front of their child, so the child knows how much reading can teach them, ... Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness. I make sure I am reading books around my children to set good examples for reading throughout life.

en The good news is that, today, adults can watch programs that were way better than before. We can watch 'The Sopranos' and 'Deadwood' and 'Sex and the City' and other really interesting, emotionally complex shows that I would not in a million years suggest watching with anybody younger than 14.

en Also, teenagers' belief systems are still forming, so they are more susceptible to being influenced by these shows. Parents should talk to their children about what they are watching, and the networks should consider posting disclaimers about the reality of the shows.
