en You have to hand it to them. They played excellent defense and they had quite a run at the end. I think we were a little nervous at the end, because they were knocking down those shots, but we're all really confident in each other. I think we knew we'd be able to pull through.

en They did a terrific job of knocking us off our shots. So when the shots didn't go, there were some reasons for it. It was the defense they played.

en When we're knocking them down, it gets frustrating for the defense. When we're not knocking them down, it kind of takes the wind out of us, and it lets the defense rest when all you take is outside shots.

en We still played good defense in the first half, but our shots just weren't falling, ... Our defense was clicking. In the second half, we just started knocking them down. We were attacking, and our energy was up.

en I was getting really nervous on defense because they were hitting shots. But, I knew we'd find a way. Jeremy hit that big shot before me. Then I stepped up.

en (Marshall) played a great game and they're getting better every day. I thought they just played excellent defense on us. We did all of the things we wanted to do to get open shots and they just didn't go in.

en They made shots. We started rushing around defensively, and [Reed] made a few shots. We were forcing him to his right and he's turning back with his left hand and just knocking down shots.

en Even at that point, I knew we would win. We have very confident, skilled players, and I knew we would make the plays down the stretch. They were hard-pressed to score, and that played right into our defense.

en Our defense really got us going. But then they started knocking down shots, we missed some free throws and our shots wouldn't fall.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. They knocked down almost every shot they took. They did a great job of moving the ball, going inside and just mainly knocking down the shots and knocking down big shots when it counted.

en West Rutland's defense is excellent. I thought we played pretty well in the second half but our shots just weren't falling. They did a better job than anyone has on Marcy.

en We're hoping that Long Branch can pull an upset. We were all sharing the ball and hitting our shots. We played some tough defense that got them out of their rhythm.

en I don't put any weight in preseason rankings. It's more of jinx. The nerves were up there. I was nervous. They were nervous. But they came out and played very well. I was very happy with how poised they were, how confident they were and relaxed they were.

en I just felt good in the second half, ... I got my shot back. After you hit two or three shots in a row, you just kind of feel it. Once you get that feeling, you're in a zone. I don't care what defense they throw at you. It helped that I had others knocking down shots. It just opened things up for me.

en A.J. has the 'it' factor. He's a confident player. When he's being aggressive, knocking down shots, our guys feed off him. We've come to really count on him.
